Japanese girls' fashion fest held in Taiwan

A large event aimed at introducing the latest Japanese girls' fashion took place in Taiwan on Sunday.
The Super Girls Festa, organized by a group of Japanese and Taiwanese firms, drew about 7,000 fashion fans, mostly young women.
A fashion show at the event had 50 popular models from Japan and Taiwan parading down the catwalk in trendy spring creations from 12 Japanese brands. Many of the outfits featured pastel colors and see-through fabrics.
People in the audience could also try out the latest Japanese hair styles, makeup and clothes.
A woman says she loves Japanese makeup because it's natural and cute.
Another says she's happy to be able to transform herself just like a fashion model.
Japanese fashion magazines and TV programs are widely popular in Taiwan.
Japanese brands see Taiwan as a base from which to sell their products in markets across Asia.
