台北捷運信義線 24日通車

台北市長郝龍斌今天宣布，台北捷運信義線將於24日正式通車，並提供免費試乘1個月的優惠。
信義線是「紅線」淡水線的延伸，也是台北捷運路網第2條東西向路線，西起中正紀念堂站、東門站、大安森林公園站、大安站、信義安和站、台北101/世貿站、象山站，總計7個站，長6.4公里，全線均採地下式興建。
信義線通車後，北捷將再增加3個轉乘車站，分別是與新店線交會的中正紀念堂站、與新莊線交會的東門站，以及與文湖線交會的大安站。
未來，新店民眾要到信義商圈不必再搭到台北車站轉乘板南線，只要搭到中正紀念堂站後1次轉乘，省下許多寶貴時間。中和、永和民眾想到信義商圈，則是多了東門站這個轉乘選擇。
內湖民眾要到信義商圈也不必再迂迴繞路，可以改搭到大安站，分擔忠孝復興站的轉乘人潮。
北捷指出，通車後，外縣市民眾只要在台北車站轉乘即可直通信義商圈，只需13分鐘就可抵達台北世貿中心和101大樓，購物或參展都更加便利。

Taipei mayor to reveal date for MRT Xinyi Line launch today
TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin is expected to formally announce the date for the inauguration of the Xinyi Line of the Taipei mass rapid transit (MRT) network today.
The launch of the new line is expected to take place Saturday, Nov. 23, and passengers are likely to get a month of free rides on the line.
The Xinyi Line, an extension of the Red Line which terminates in Tamsui, is the second east-west line and runs parallel to the Bannan Line, which stretches from Banqiao in New Taipei City to Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei proper.
Stretching from National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain) near Taipei Medical University, the new 6.4-kilometer-long MRT line connects seven stations, including Dongmen, Daan Park, Xinyi-Anhe, and Taipei 101 stations.
One of the major benefits of the Xinyi Line will be a reduction of 20 to 30 minutes in traveling time for passengers commuting from Shilin District, who will no longer have to pass through the highly congested Taipei Main Station for trips to the Xinyi Commercial District, where the Taipei 101 Financial Tower, the Taipei World Trade Center and its exhibition halls, and the Taipei International Convention Center are all located.
Much more time can be saved by passengers commuting from the Beitou and Tamsui districts to downtown districts by riding the newly extended Red Line.
City government officials revealed that Mayor Hau is likely to announce the commencement of formal operation of the new line, beginning from the coming weekend, during a slated inspection tour of an ongoing project to create more tree-lined boulevards in the city today.
The facilities and operations of the Xinyi Line have cleared strict inspections by transport service experts, engineers, and officials from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
People holding EasyCards granting access to the mass transport network are expected to be allowed to take trial runs on the new line for a period of one month, a privilege for passengers who want to familiarize themselves with the new line's services, in accordance with promotions offered during the launches of new MRT lines in the past.
Many commuters said that they have anticipated the opening of the new metro line for years, as the development of the Xinyi Line fell a full decade behind that of the Bannan Line, which passes through Taipei City Hall and other parts of Xinyi District.
Owners of stores located along the new Xinyi Line have especially high hopes that more customers will be brought by the metro line. Many of them have spent money on facelifts for their stores, restaurants and facilities.
In building the new line, the city government exerted great efforts to leave trees in the vicinity of MRT construction projects untouched, and also planted more than 1,500 new trees in recent years to create a new green boulevard in the city, all with an aim to improve the city living environment.

MRT信義線24日に開通へ 台北駅から101まで13分／台湾
（台北 18日 中央社）台北市のカク龍斌市長はきょう、建設中の台北メトロ（MRT）信義線が今月24日に開業すると発表した。開通後1カ月間は交通ICカードの利用で同線区間が無料乗車できる優待サービスを実施する。（カク＝赤におおざと）
信義線は「レッドライン」淡水線の延伸区間として建設が進んでいたもので、板南線に続く2番目の東西方向路線。全7駅あり、中正紀念堂から東門、大安森林公園、大安、信義安和、台北101／世界貿易センターを経由して象山までの全長6.4キロを結ぶ。
中正紀念堂、東門、大安の各駅ではそれぞれ新店線、中和新蘆線、文湖線に乗換えができるほか、信義線開通後は淡水線と直通運転を開始し、現在北投－台電大楼間の区間車が北投－象山間への列車に切り換わる。また、新店線は淡水－新店間の直通列車の運行を維持する一方で、新たに西門－台電大楼間を結ぶ区間車を設定、利便性の向上を図る。
台北MRTによると、台北駅から台北101／世界貿易センターまでの所要時間は約13分で、買い物やイベントへの参加が便利になるとアピールしている。

昔は、台北駅から１０１行くのに大変でした。
いつもチョー混んでる、板南線で、ちんたらちんたら市政府駅まで行って、
そっから、シャトルバス（待つの面倒）か、
てくてく歩いて１０１（意外と遠く２０分くらいかかる）でした。
それが、たったの１３分になるってことですから、びっくりです。
最近の台北の地下鉄はどうなってるのかな～って、
探してみました。
